How to beat large scale traffic data collection using Visual Analytics

There is a growing demand for traffic data analytics that requires us to look at innovation within the transport planning industry. One of the most effective principles of innovation is process automation. The ultimate mission of Visual Analytics within transport planning is to bring such desired automation and enable companies to achieve unseen scalability by processing and analyzing a vast amount of data in the shortest time possible. In the webinar, you'll learn every aspect of automated traffic data collection and analytics workflow on a large scale. We will focus mainly on options of how to prepare the input data for visual analytics, transfer thousands of hours of video footage to the cloud, and successfully produce a set of comprehensive reports for your microsimulation software or a data archive.

Q #1:
How long it will take to process 5000 hours of video footage?

A #1:

Every video file is processed within 1 hour after upload, regardless of the video duration. So if 5000 hours are uploaded at once, the processing time will be ~1 hour.

Q #2:
Assuming good quality video footage, what level of accuracy can typically be expected in terms of (a) volume counts and (b) vehicle classification?

A #2:

GoodVision is trained to provide >95% accuracy of multimodal counts if the quality conditions are met.

Q #3:

Is there any specific cameras do you recommend for the traffic data collection, we use hikvision cameras?

A #3:

GoodVision is camera agnostic so you can use your existing infrastructure. Many GoodVision users use Hikvision cameras very successfully, providing the image with high quality.

Q #4:

What vehicle classes are available?

A #4:

GoodVision recognizes 8 classes according to UK and US classification scheme: car, van, bus, light truck, articulated truck, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian.

Q #5:

Is there an option for live footage analyzing?

A #5:

Yes, you can connect live camera feeds directly from GoodVision and schedule your survey remotely, repeatedly, etc.

Q #6:

Are you planning to include a view of the processing of the platform? It makes the process of areas selecting easier since you can see where for example AI is losing objects

A #6:

Yes, this feature is in development and will be available in GoodVision Desktop.

Q #7:

How long will the videos be kept in the cloud?

A #7:

By default, when the user doesn't use video storage in GoodVision Vault, the videos are kept in the cloud only during the processing, which is ~1 hour. With GoodVision Vault, you can archive your videos for years.

Q #8:

Is the macOS version of GV Desktop coming?

A #8:

Yes, the macOS version of the GoodVision Desktop will be available in the future.

Q #9:

One of the main concerns raised by my team was regarding uploading video footage for what might be a confidential project. Is there any reassurance you can offer regarding data privacy/security/duration of storage etc?

A #9:

We offer full data privacy commitment for your data. GoodVision is GDPR compliant and data is not stored in proprietary data centers.

Q #10:

Is any sort of license available, let's say for 1 year?

A #10:

The annual subscription plan is available in GoodVision.
